Your First Visit
On your first visit, we will go over your intake form together, reviewing your medical history, goals, and concerns to see how I can best help you and what treatment would be most appropriate for your needs. I may also check your range of motion and other assessments prior to beginning hands-on treatment.
This is why first-time visits take longer and are a slightly higher fee than follow-up visits. Please take a moment to watch these videos and familiarize yourself with the contact page for directions and specific instructions on how to find the office, because it can be tricky the first time. When you are ready please select the first option on the service menu "Initial Assessment and Body Therapy" The Initial Assessment and Body Therapy session will include lymphatic drainage and cupping to assess how your body responds and to plan future sessions.
Professional Conduct:
Florida Lymph Drainage is a professional office of therapeutic massage, any illicit or suggestive remarks or behavior on the client's part will result in an immediate termination of the session. There is a ZERO tolerance for inappropriate behavior or requests for any type of favors. You will be flagged and reported to authorities if necessary. Being rude, insulting or yelling will also not be tolerated. While everyone has a bad day, there is no excuse to be hostile or aggressive. You may be asked to leave and find another therapist.
Arriving late for your appointment will shorten your session time, out of respect to other clients and the therapist's schedule, please aim to arrive a few minutes early for parking, using the restroom, and any issues with traffic.
Payment is due at the time of service. For your convenience, many forms of payment are accepted. If someone other than the person receiving the service would like to pay, please do so before the appointment, by phone or by keeping your credit card on file.

A 12-hour cancellation/ reschedule notice is required for any scheduled appointments, including gift certificate sessions and pre-purchased series. If you cancel or reschedule within 12 hours of your appointment, you *may be charged a fee if that slot can not be filled. Missed or no-show appointments will result in being charged a $20 fine the first time, 50% of your appointment cost the second time and the full price of your session the third time. These charges will be added to your account and due the next time you come in. *at your therapist's discretion*
All Clients are responsible for their own appointments. Appointments are easily booked online. All they require is an email address and cell phone number unique to each person. This way, you will receive reminders of your appointment and have complete access to your schedule, giving you the ability to modify it as you wish. If you need assistance in setting up or handling your online account, please call MassageBook Support at (843) 352-2026. You may also make and change appointments with me after or before your appointment if there is time. Requesting appointments and changes by text message will no longer be allowed. This is to prevent scheduling errors.
Same day cancellations because you feel sick: Coming in for an appointment when you feel like you're coming down with something is not a good idea because it could interfere with your immune system's ability to fight off an infection. This is why late fees are waived. It's on an honor system assuming this excuse will not be abused. For this reason, only 3 same day cancellations due to illness will be allowed per account's lifetime. After the 3rd one, the standard late fees will apply.
Medical Profile:
Massage and Lymphatic Drainage should not be performed under certain health conditions, this is why it is important to periodically revise intake forms and verbally discuss what changes have taken place since the last visit. It is the client's responsibility to inform the therapist of any changes to their health and medications.

Therapeutic bodywork does not diagnose, treat, or take the place of medical care. It is always best to rule things out medically before attempting to address them through complementary therapies.
